Cannondale SM500

The Beast of the East! The SM500 mullet shredder! This is a very unique, early Cannondale mountain bike. It was made in 1985, right around the dawn of mass produced mountain bikes. It comes equipping with some of the coolest components of the time, some being the Deer Head rear derailleur and Specialized brazed bar/stem. Another feature on this bike that I think is the coolest is the 24" rear wheel and the 26" front wheel. It gives it a very slack ride, and shines at higher downhill speeds. 

This bike shows sign of use but is in good condition. There are some paint scratches that have been roughly touched up on the frame and some areas on the fork that were sprayed over. No dents, bends, or cracks. The first loop on the first cable guide on the top tube has broken off. The tires are brand new. The rear wheel does slightly rub on the frame sometimes as this is the max tire size this bike can run. The drivetrain has been given a very good clean and reinstalled with new cables/housing. A new chain has also been installed.
