This GT Avalanche was one of the top of the line mountain bikes you could buy in the late 80's. It was handmade with Prestige tubing in the legendary Toyo factory in Japan. This frame is in good condition, but shows sign of use. No bends or dents. It has some chips in the paint here and there, but nothing crazy. The decals have seen better days but you can still make out what they say. The most notable damage is by the rear brake internal housing guide on the top tube. It appears that the metal or the paint is cracked in that area. When I push hard in the areas surrounding said damage, the metal does not move, which is a good sign. I included a video of my pushing on this area so you can get a better understanding as to what I'm talking about. It seems safe to me and personally, I would have no fear riding it. Everyone has a different opinion on that sort of thing. Comes with original GT branded quill stem, which is very rare!!
