Trek 520

This 1984 Trek 520 Touring is a great all rounder that checks all the boxes! It's frame is constructed of Reynolds 501 making for an excellent, comfortable, and forgiving ride. This example still wears most of its original parts, apart from the saddle and wheels. New cloth bar tape, cables, and housing have been installed and the bottom bracket has been serviced. The tires are a size 38 and that just barely fits. You can't run anything larger than that. The rear was also cold set to 135mm so you can run a 7 or 8spd more modern wheelset (like the one on there now). It's tuned in and ready to tackle your next touring trip - no matter what that looks like! 

This bike is in good condition but shows sign of use. The cable guides on the top tube started to form rust but that was fixed with Naval Gel and a wire brush. The first one had to have one of its loops cut off (see photos). There are some paint chips and scratches but no dents, bends, or cracks.
