This 1983 Univega Alpina Ultima was the top of the line mountain bike from Univega at the time. The early 1980's was the dawn of mass produced mountain bikes. Many argue Specialized was the first to do it, after they released the Stumpjumper in 1982. Univega was right on their heels with this one. It's in good condition, but shows sign of use. It still has all of it's original components, one of my favorite being the Nitto moose bars. The frame has some superficial scratches here and there but no dents, bends, or cracks. New shift and brake cables have been installed as well as new tires. The Dia-Compe cantilever brakes were polished and painted to add some flare! It's in great riding condition!
