Vitus was first established in the 1930’s by French steel manufacturer, Ateliers de la Rive. Lightness and strength made Vitus frames top performing. When the best is still not good enough, Vitus embraced technology to develop lightweight aluminum tubing. This propelled Vitus to become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of aluminum bikes proving again that they produce bikes for champions.

Making its debut in 1979, the Vitus 979 transformed the cycling scene with this outstanding racing bike. Sean ‘King’ Kelly raced this bike and claimed many wins on board Vitus.

The Vitus journey has been long and had its ups and downs. But their bikes reflect the ways cycling as evolved.
