Macalu was based out of Boulder, Colorado and they would build up frames from Litespeed and then rebrand them as Macalu. This is basically a Litespeed Tuscany with different decals.
This bike is in pretty good condition but it does show sign of use. The decals are a little worse for wear but the actual frame looks great! No dents or cracks. New brake and shift cables have been installed along with new housings. A new chain has also been installed along with some fresh new bar tape. The chainrings up front show sign of wear. When I purchased the bike, it was missing a rivnut for one of the bottle cages on the downtube. That was fixed and replaced so you can once again ride with two bottles. When it was just the frame, I could hear a rock or something bouncing around in the downtube - I tried to shake it out but to no avail. This won't compromise anything - unless you're a weight weenie ;)
This is an incredibly beautiful titanium bike that deserves an owner that will run it through its paces!
