The 1980's gave birth to some of the best steel frame bikes. Even the entry level steel frames were being made with beautiful lugs and steezy paint schemes. The Nine-Twelve was a bike built for the enthusiast and was known for it's sturdiness and rather quick acceleration. It's a bike that can be ridden in any way. It can handle a big ride through the mountains, or a quick commute to the shops. Either way, it'll leave you feeling relaxed content with life! This example is a survivor, wearing its original paint, bar tape, and components. There are a couple paint chips on the fork (where a lock would go). No dents, cracks, bubbles, or bends. This bike is incredible!!

This Nine-Twelve was given a polish after all of the parts were removed and ultrasonic cleaned. The bearings all feel great, and new brake/shift cables were fitted. There is some surface oxidation on the inside of the rear derailleur on the clamp bolt. Although the tires still have some life in them, they are dry rotted and I would recommend replacing them before going on long training rides (for puttsing around town, they'll be just fine).
