Specialized Allez SE Jim Merz

Specialized Allez SE's of the 1980's had some incredible special editions. Some where built by Yoshi Konno of 3Rensho, and others, like this one, were designed by Jim Merz. They didn't make too many of these editions and they all come on a beautiful deep blue/yellow spec. This example is in good condition but shows sign of use. There are some paint chips and scrapes here and there but no dents, bends, or cracks. The original bar tape is lifting in areas - I couldn't find a good period correct replacement so I left it alone. The brake hoods have been replaced and it's been given a deep clean and tune. It comes equipped with Shimano 600 components and it rides great!
